    recovery for wrist injury

    I injured my left wrist about 2-3 months ago. It only hurts when i twist my wrist to the left. Anyway how long do wrist injuries usually take to heal, i searched other threads but found nothing on this kind of injury
    also any specially excercise or anything i should do for it to recover properly and fast? thnx

    it could just be tension in your forearm flexors/extensors...try massaging your forearm from wrist to elbow with your thumb. any really sore spots? if so, work them for a few minutes per day, they should improve and the wrist pain may diminish. If not, see a doctor for an exam and possible MRI.

    thnx for the advice but i massaged my forearm and it is fine no sore spots, any other advice?

    hmm...if it's not your forearm muscles and it hurts on rotation it could be a damaged ligament or a minor displaced bone. go for the xray and see what the doc says.

    I wouldn't suggest you do until it heals up...no point in hurting it further and not training longer when you could be back in a week or two.

    Perhaps some physical therapy with bands...and light tension could help, but other than that I wouldn't risk it.
