In this article, about 2/3 of the way down, the author talks about conversion of slow twitch (type I and IIa, I believe) to fast twitch (type IIb) fibers. Is this possible? Any references? How about hyperplasia? Any evidence of this?

article has some interesting points, but slow twitch doesnt become fast twitch, nor does fast twitch become slow twitch even from doing lots of slow cardio or doing long marathons.
It's just that the fast twitch will have some tendency to perform at longer periods with low threshold frequencies firing."Knowing is not enough, one must apply" ~ Bruce Lee
