how many protein shakes

Ive been workin alot, and its been hard eating whole foods for protein, but i have been drinking alot of protein shakes.. like 4-5 a day.... i was wondering if this is detrimental at all? or should i cut dwn? drink more water?

suggestions?

Real food is better than the processed junk in protein shakes. BUT ... if there's just NO way you can eat REAL food and it comes down to either nothing at all or a protein shake, go for the shake. But I suggest you REALLY try to pack a few quick, easy meals and take them with you to work. Make something the night before and put it into containers, throw it in a cooler. Use shakes sparingly!

It depends of what you eat. If you aim to eat 190gr (1gr per pound of body weight) of protein and eat 4 huge steaks, you won't need to get any shake ...

That's why it's important to track what you eat and--amongst other things--, its protein content ... then at the end of the day you know how many shakes you need ...

As the other said, try to get as much pro as possible from whole food ...
