First, you need to calculate you TDEE (calories you burn daily including activities): http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm
This will give you you maintenance calories, the number of calories which gonna make you maintain you weight.
if you eat ABOVE the maintenance calories you will be bulking, ADDING WEIGHT.
if you eat BELOW the maintenance calories you will be cutting, LOSING WEIGHT.

LMAO - Right, so you are one of those who will go saying that the slice of cheese I eat will make me fat, or the carb meal will make me fat.
LOL!!!! What makes people fat is IGNORANCE.
EXCESS CALORIES = weight gain
CALORIE DEFICIT = weight loss
BREAK EVEN = no weight gain
If things were like you describe, then people doing high fat on keto would blow up and gain hundreds of pounds LOL Instead they lose ****loads of weight despite the high fat content......Let's see if you've been paying attention and can figure out why...........:P

Whey protein alone
1) does not speed your metabolism
2) does not make you lose weight.
To lose weight you need to eat less calories than you burn.
PROPER nutrition, a balanced hormone profile, doing proper workouts (heavy lifting), etc is what
keeps your metabolism strong and either losing weight or maintaining.
You could have lost your 40 lbs of lard ass without the tubs of whey protein lol. You lost weight
because of a calorie deficit.....I assume you did a VLC, which is the worst thing you can do.
Most of the weight you lose is probably water weight / glycogen stores, initially. Actual FAT loss
is a long term process. Be careful that fat lard ass of yours can be gained much quicker and bigger.
Because each time you regain the weight back and want to lose it again it becomes exponentially difficult.
and we all know you don't want to become the lazy fat arse you've been !!!!
Whoever told you that whey protein makes you lose weight is a moron.
It's no wonder why some companies put warnings in the labels that the whey is to be used as a supplement, not for weight loss.
You spent your money for nothing and all that protein you took was counterproductive.
The whey protein itself does not burn your fat. It makes you less hungry and eat less, and eat less means bigger calorie deficit = weight loss. Catch 22 is that with your weight loss you lowered your metabolic rate as well. so I'd hold off on eating those lard sandwiches and twinkies for a while mate.
