either use natural peanut butter (be careful as its calorie dense) or just dont use a replacement, they look fine as is without butter

You can replace butter with applesauce when baking... i have done it many times and it works great.

you are going to want to use a 1:1.5 ratio though... so

    1tsp - butter = 1.5tsp applesauce

Saeedy...so you make them too? the no bake cookies? if so do you use the recipe I posted? I love these things but Ive never had them made like in a healthier way. Always had the ones with granular sugar and the butter and cocoa mix.

you can get becel margarine that has 67% less fat than regular becel, that's what i use when making cookies. lol i always look for the healthiest junk food! hahaha! it has 2.3 grams of fat per two teaspoons, and only 25 calories, compared to the same amount of regular becel, which has 8 grams of fat and 87 calories. i used to have a good recipe for oatmeal cookies with no butter in it. i think it used applesauce to keep them moist. if i can find it i'll post it for you.

Since the cookies are no bake, the butter is just being used for flavor and as a binder for the other ingredients, so you can just use the fat-free imitaition butter. Something like I Can't Believe Its Not Butter Fat Free would work.

i don't know if this is the exact one i used, but it worked for me. i tweaked it a bit, like using a little more oats and a little less flour, i used and whole wheat flour, it doesn't have to be perfect, as long as you like them. my dad and my sister didn't like them because they didn't taste like ordinary oatmeal cookies, but hey, in my mind, it's the healthiest thing to a cookie i'm gonna allow myself to eat on a clean eating day.

here's the site. there are other recipes too, i just went to google.com and typed in low fat cookies, and tons of sites come up. hope this helps.
