My Protein Review/Comparison

This is review/comparisson of Ultimate Nutrition Whey Sensation 81 Chocolate Truffle and Dymatize Elite Whey Rich Chocolate.

I have used both of these products and both were in the 5lb tubs. This is a non-sponsored review. I live in Canada so I will show prices for the products in Canada and the US. Now the contents of my personal shake is Milk, Ice cubes, Peanut Butter, Rolled Steel oats, Banana and 2 scoops of the protein.

I will be rating by

- Price It can change by website to website or sales
- How easy it mixes
- Taste mixed in Water, Milk and Personal Protein Shake
- Bloat if applicable
- Packaging

Plus I will share some of the Specific Product Details.

I will start with the Price
Ultimate Nutrition Whey Sensation 81 Chocolate Truffle Here on BB.com I can not find the exact product there is a product by Ulitmate Nutrition called Protein Sensation 81 but it is not the same one. In Canada a 5lb tub can be found for $44.99 CDN.
Dymatize Elite Whey Rich Chocolate Can be found in Canada for $46.99 CDN and on bb.com a 5lb tub is $32.99 US

Now with how easy it can mix
Ultimate Nutrition Whey Sensation 81 Chocolate Truffle in a shaker cup it mixes at 7/10 There usually is still some small chunks in the bottom. In a blender 10/10
Dymatize Elite Whey Rich Chocolate In a shaker cup 9/10 there rarely is any chunks it mixs very well. In a blender 10/10

Now with Taste
Ultimate Nutrition Whey Sensation 81 Chocolate Truffle In water 6/10 It isnt too bad but you have got to drink it fast I would not sip on it. When mixed in milk the taste is better 7.5/10. In my Personal Shake it is 8.5/10 I find it is a little rich tasteing maybe a little too sweet. I also found that it did not sit well in my stomach when it was mixed with water alone if I was really hungry and looking for something quick.
Dymatize Elite Whey Rich Chocolate In water 6.5/10 I still would not sip on it! In milk 8/10 It tastes good almost like chocolate milk ALMOST. In my personal shake 9.5/10 mixes well and tastes great!

Now Bloat
Ultimate Nutrition Whey Sensation 81 Chocolate Truffle The only time I really found bloat with this product is later at night and usually when mixed with just milk alone.
Dymatize Elite Whey Rich Chocolate Again it was possible for me to feel some bloat with this but usually later at night trying to get the protein count a little higher again mixed with milk.

Packaging
Ultimate Nutrition Whey Sensation 81 Chocolate Truffle The way the tub is designed is good if you have a lot of room it is more round than tall with a metal handle when emptied it is a great bucket...if needed.
Dymatize Elite Whey Rich Chocolate Is more like the standard Protein bucket style not too much use when emptied and has a plastic handle. It is easier to store since it is not as wide.

Now for some Specific Product Details
Servings
Ultimate Nutrition 80 servings each one being 30.4g, Protein per serving 23g Total Calories 118, Fat 1.5g, Carbs 2g
Dymatize 77 servings each one being 29.4g, Protein per serving 23g, Total Calories 112, Fat 1.5g, Carbs 2.5g

Now both of these are right off the labels it doesnt make much sense though since the one with a higher number or servings also has a higher weight per serving but thats what they say.

Overall with everything in consideration Dymatize Elite Whey Rich Chocolate is my pick if anyone has any questions feel free to ask them or pm me if needed. I hope this will be helpful to some of you out there!

Nice detailed review, I really disliked dymatize's chocolate when I tried it. It was the first time I've actually taken a supp back.

Dymatize Rich chocolate is one of my fav. flavours. I didn't think it was too bad in water, but then again i've never had one that tasted GOOD in water. Overall though i love it, have had about 4 5lb tubs of it now.

Hmmm, I've seen some negative reviews of dymatize chocolate.
How is it taste wise ? Sweet ?

It's hard to describe. I really think I may have just got a bad batch or something. I couldn't find an expiration date on it though. I've tried dymatizes chocolate mint, and I really liked that though. I'm probably going to try they're cafe mocha next. The chocolate I tried was almost like flavorless, it's hard to explain. I liked ON's chocolate much better, and pretty much every other chocolate protein powder i've tried (mrm, lean body, ********, real gains & even gnc ).

Its weird, the longer I try Dymatizes flavors, the more I develop a taste to it. If you read my reviews (on my sig) I thought the taste very light but really good. Now after using it 2+ months, I found that you develop a stronger and creamier taste towards the product. Dymatize Elite is an excellent tasting whey. However, I like to try different brands and hopefully find out my favorites.

True dude but you never know Packaging can come in handy if you need a.....bucket...lol Whats your fav dymatize?

I bought an Ultimate Nutrition protein a few years ago and it was in the same type of bucket. Still use it in the winters for my road salt

I'm really feeling the mocha these days, I'll say that it's my fav. But the packaging is good, you're right, and that handle sure is nice for carrying, lol.

When I tried the flavor it was horribly sweet, like cotton candy mixed in. Very strong artificial taste, one of the worst flavors I have ever tried Good log tho!!!
