I haven't tried it. I'm on Lexapro (SSRI) which is working very well for me. With Merck-Medco it was $40.00 for 30 pills (30-day supply). Without insurance, it ranges 72.00 - 82.00. On-line, it was ridiculous. Lexapro is supposed to have less serious side effects than most SSRI's. It was hell the first 11 days because I felt like a zombie, was dizzy, woke up early, woke up sweating, had a few terrific headaches, had heart palpitations (thought I was gonna have a panic attack a few times) had chills, and muscle/joint aches. Day 12 it was great. Now I feel better than I have in a long, long time.

A Cheaper alternative to taking straight SAMe is to take TMG (Trimethyl Glycine, also known as Betaine.).
It raises SAMe levels, it increases detoxifying liver enzymes, raises antioxidant Gluthione levels and reduces Homocysteine along with B6, Folic acid and B12. Heavy coffee drinkers are almost guaranteed to have high Homocysteine levels, bad news for heart health.
TMG is a good addition for liver protection on PCT.

Yes, I take SAME. Ask me any question you want about it. But let me say, it works and has zero side effects. It is worth the money.
I just read that link, and that is the best deal for SAME I have ever seen. And get NatureMade SAME. it is the best brand. it's legit. Many other SAME brands were found to have little SAME in them.

Ok. SAME is a miracle pill. Will take depression away, inspire you, has zero side effects, totally safe, not addictive. The studies are out there. It works better and faster than all pharmacutical anti depressants and it has zero side effects. It is the best solution.

I worked in the health food field around 11 years ago. When SAMe came out, recall our firm was doing a good deal of bottling for the product. It was a big hit, with sales going through the roof. Used to joke though, with initial sales as high as they were, and with extra bottling duties for me (I was in purchasing but was trained to work the bottle room at night, so by day I had an office job, and when busy as with SAMe sales, at night I worked the bottle line) SAMe was making me tired and depressed.
In addition to SAMe you might also try taking 5000ius of vitamin D3. I've heard of people having success with relieving depression with the sunshine vitamin. I wouldn't be surprised if vitamin K2 and fish oil helped also.
