Allergic to salmon/fish.. other protein sources?

Hey,

A little while ago (because of the advice of some of you here) I decided to stop being vegan and to start eating some wild salmon for better protein. Well, unfortunately two nights ago I ended up in the hospital because I am apparently allergic to salmon (and the doctor said possibly other fish and shellfish).

So I'm looking for another healthy source of protein! I don't want to eat beef, pork, chicken, etc.. but are there any other very healthy sources of complete protein that anyone could recommend?

Thank you!

I was vegan for four years. I now get a lot of my protein from eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt, whey protein, pb+whole wheat, beans and whole wheat.

If you are no longer a vegan, I suggest chicken. It is a healthy and clean food, not to mention inexpensive. A lot of people reccommend boneless skinless chicken breasts, or canned chicken, which is similar to canned tuna. Like the other poster said, whey protein will benefit you greatly if you don't wish to eat meats. As for other things, all natural peanut butter, beans, cottage cheese, and many more things which there are too many to list.

Are vegans the group that doesn't use any product that comes from animals? Well then skip the cottage cheese then.
