    Wink I am new to this forum

    Just a quick note to say hi, and introduce myself. I am a female 44 yrs old, who has been working out with weights for about 10 yrs now. I have had my share of ups and downs-recurring lower back injuries force me to take considerable time off from training. I workout (with weights) 2-3X per week and cardio another 2-3X per week. I don't follow any one "plan", but combine the weider principles with some body for life and a few others (I almost have to because of the low back problems). I am diabetic, and in pretty good shape. I try hard not to let my health problems get in the way of a good workout, but hey even this irongal has to sit on the sidelines sometimes!

    I workout at home with a Smith Machine (cause I can never get my better half to spot me), that has a lot of bells and whistles on it. I also use dumbbells and a flat bench.

    Yeah, we have a nice Smith machine. It was obtained as part of a settlement for one of the various accidents I have been involved in. (Phila, is a bad driving area). I have been able to keep up with physical therapy at my convience, with it at home. It is built by "Body Solid" and has the flye attachment, dip attachment, flat bench with leg extension, and preacher curl attachments. It was cheaper than continueing with p/t! I would encourage anybody who has to work out by themselves for safeties sake to get one. They are a bit pricey (about $1000) but other brands can be had for less used or even at local sporting goods shops (Dicks, and some others). I enjoy ours very much.

    Bodybuilding should be fun because you get a feeling of satisfaction which is very hard to explain. A bodybuilder knows that when he pumps up his muscles it means growth. The muscles growth. So therefor he knows when he pumps up well, that is progress. And that satisfies him because he feels the progress in his body. Therefor the pump feels good. It's actually the best feeling a bodybuilder can have. It's a difficult thing to explain. Like sometimes we joke around and we get a good pump and we say you have to admit that a good pump is better than coming. Somebody off the street wouldn't understand that, but sometimes a pump is the best feeling you can have.

    actually-its Sister! I know the "handle" throws people- I ride a 1500cc motorcycle, hence the "Bigbike"
