weight gainer questions?
do weight gainers really work for a kid with a fast mitabolism?
is it true that weight gainers can give you acne?
what is the best flavor and brand weight gainer?
is this supplement really worth the money?
if so how many times a day do you take it?

The first weight gainer I ever took was Optimum Serious Mass. I gained ten pounds. It didn't give me any acne, I don't think it gives anyone acne. I tried both chocolate and vanilla and they were both great. As far as it being worth the money - that depends on how bad you want it.

i suppose if the sugars (carbs) theyre putting in it is low quality high GI, then it might possibly give you acne.

Good point. But - I've been to two dermatologists in the past year and they both said that the whole "you are what you eat" saying (as far as acne goes) isn't really true... maybe they just really like writing prescriptions.

since working out my acne has gotten worse, and i am a few years out from high school...
to answers the OP's questions:
-weight gainer works for anyone when they have integrated it correctly into their diet. meaning you are eating enough and you need more and don't have time for more solid meals during the day.
-some might, whey caused my wife some acne at first, i guess due to a flavoring or something in it. Hormone levels probably have a bigger role than sugar.
-the best one is the one you like. I personally look for: low sugar per serving, plenty of protein, decent taste and low cost in that order.
-if it works in your diet plan then yes. at times i have had problems getting all 7 meals per day and had to make 2 of them gainer meals. I got enough calories in for the day and the macros were correct for the diet I am on.
-its all based on your dietary needs....weight gainer is not something magical its just FOOD that you can carry as a powder and mix with liquid and drink in a hurry.
now I have a few questions for you:
why is grass green?
why is water wet?
why is the sky blue?
btw i suggest you take some time to read the nutrition forum and learn a bit more about eating...

Sorry but that is all wrong..
If you get acne its becouse of the fast carbs and the whey, its teh insulin spike that couses it.

Yeah, your best off with a gainer if you have a fast metabolism, that's what theyre made for in the first place so...
I've been taking a weight gainer for awhile now and It's never caused acne and I'm 15, besides they say that acne isn't caused by what you eat.
I would go with a gainer like Real gains or Cyto gainer and even N large 2 if your a hard gainer (n large 2 is high in sugars)
Sure it's worth the money, if you really wan't to gain weight and you don't have the time to prepare extra meals during the day like me.
Well that depends on your diet/training and on your weight, but they usally say to take 1-2 a day...because you can't just drink weight gainer all day, you need protein, carbs and fats from real food too, that's the best stuff

IMO, no they aren't worth the money. You'd be much better off (monetarily and nutritionally) to make your own gainer shakes.

maybe some yogurt or a banana....
making your own is MUCH better than buying a premade weight gainer, as the premade ones mostly use maltodexterin(basically sugar) as their "complex" carbs
