the start
The reason I started was an embarresment!
I was 13 y/o and skinny weighting only 86 pounds and another guy lifted me above his head, and to embarres me more, he lifted me with one arm too! and he said don't you weight anything!!!! Offcourse I hated that. So I started training something, and that became badminton, Badminton wasn't what I was searching but OK it's fun. (It's olympic now, it wasn't back around 1975)
Badminton was actually good, I for once got a very good condition! and something that could remind of abs. And yes girls was beginning to look.
And at summer why not play without t-shirt.
But Badminton ended with an athletics teacher (Having his own favorites) saying that I touched the ball within the white line, I put the raquet under the ball but seeing the feathered ball was going to be outside the line, I quickley removed my raquet, But the stupid teacher thought that I touched the ball and gave the points to the other team.
So I called my athletics teacher an incompetent idiot who only favours his own idols and smashed my raquet right over his head, and since I had started training I was a bit stronger that I calculated.
So I started playing Tennis instead, and winning 6-0 6-0 or 6-1 6-0 or 6-0 6 - 1 even tennis becomes boring after awhile at local tournaments, and this is my big regret since even low tennis tours pays good money.....
Anyway still in last year in school and at that time still very interested in electronics, my and a pal got the chance to install a car radio in a car (It was a big deal back in 1978-79) Unfortunately my pal had never used a driller, and the drill slipped and went right into my hand, and my left hand was pissing blood! i got stitched and offcourse Tennis career was over
A nurse said try this gym while you try getting back, I kinda liked lifting weights and to get strong, and yes the dude in the mirror is muscular and it was me.
The reason I never competed myself, I looked in the mirror, and thought next year instead, that next year never came and that I regret!
even if I had placed number 36 I wish I had competed at one time.
