Cam is a pro at this. He completely killed 50's street credibility. The snitch thing was funny, the swag thing was funny, the Cuuuuuuuuurtis thing was funny, but none of that was what really did it.
50 filmed his video in his Connecticut house with a group of shooters (or actors for that matter). Cam films his video alone in Harlem in front of Bloodshed's mural dressed in Yankees apparel. The imagery is too strong; you want to sympathyze with Cam, the grimy NY representative, instead of the bourgeoisie 50 Cent, who laughs at real gangstas from a safe distance.
Cam's message was also direct. He's a big player in the game, and he dares 50 to try something. He ends the verse with "Why you think they call me KFC, you don't know me homie"-- a reference to his street work and to his Children of the Corn days. He makes it clear that he's the only heir to Big L's empire, and is the real king of NY.
Cam keeps his appeal strictly NYC, and we NYC fans appreciate it. Cam told 50 he could have his sell-out money (biscuit), because he's about bigger things.
Of course no one here is gonna notice any of those things, so you'll mostly talk about how you don't understand anything Cam says.

How did he snitch on Jay? 50 is a snitch; it's the reason his face is messed up. Whatever the extent of 50's snitching, he was extremely disrespectful to Supreme, and that showed that he has no class or respect. Cam lives by the code of the streets regardless of what he has or hasn't done. He refused to even cooperate with the police when he got shot in DC. 50 probably can't even go back to southside without getting killed, while Cam is well known and respected across the city.

He is referring to the fact that Cam snitched on Jay when he said that the shooters threw up the diamond before they shot him. I have to agree with that poster because Ghetto Qu'ran did not really bring up any info that wasn't already known, and aside from that there is no hard evidence that 50 did indeed snitch.

Good point. A bit different because Cam made the song after his attempted murder, while 50 brought it on himself.
The production is absolutely amazing. I'm having a hard time finding the sample for the bassline, which is odd because I usually find Cam's samples without too much of a problem. Heatmakerz (I assume) pulled out some big guns this time.

50 dont keep it hood anymore, he even went at styles p when styles IS the hood. in the interview Styles said hes fine selling 80k as long as he can feed his family and what not
50 said he needs the 10 cars and fancy this and that, 50 soldout on the hood, its sad cause the old 50 spit fire...i still got the classic 50 mixtapes.
id say jay is still the KONY...and has been since Big passed. Here to help!

come on, how can you say cam is better than jay???
yes there is a big dipset movement but IN NY...
jay-z is internationally known as had solid albums each time. i love cam, dont get me wrong, but jay is honestly top 5 ever hands down.
what jay has done to the hip hop game is monumental.
go to freakin wisconsin or somethin and ask them about dipset...then ask about jay and a completly diff response guaranteedHere to help!

Well Vanilla Ice would also be known in Wisconsin, and internationally for that matter, but I doubt they ever heard of Big L, and can the two even be compared? That is why you can't use international sales to determine which artist is better, Jay is way overrated, Cam is like 5 times better, Big L is 10 times better.

Well in any case, cam needs to cut half of dipset loose. Especially Jimmy. That dude sucks balls, roffle if he goes after Joe Budden.

A few questions here and there because I don't listen to Cam, 50 and I usually don't listen to Jay Zizzle.
Why is there a beef between Dipset and 50?
Did 50 sound different before his face got blasted away with a shotgun? Did he sound less retarded?
If you got any old fifty wanna send it over? Some Cam to because I've never really heard it.

I don't see how you'd figure that. Then what is Jay's impact? How did he so effectively change hip hop?
The Diplomats are a product of the street. They are valid. Jay-Z has been under someone's wings since his debut with Jaz-O. There was never a grassroots Jay movement. He got his own record label without anyone caring about who he was. Only when he became popular with "Hard Knock Life" did people even give his earlier efforts a listen. Props to him for being such a successful businessman, but he's no street rapper.

Well this thread went south quick lol. Mention Cam and 50 and your thread's doomed.
Friendship b/w women:
A woman doesn't come home one night. The next day she tells her husband she slept over at a girlfriend's place. Her husband calls 10 of her best friends. None know anything about it.
Friendship b/w men:
A man doesn't come home one night. The next day he tells his wife he slept over at a friend's place. His wife calls 10 of the husband's best friends. 8 of them confirm he slept over, the other 2 claim he's still there.
