When I lift at school and there's only a handfull of people in there, as opposed to say 30 or 40 during team weightlifting, it tends to be sort of quiet and it can sometimes be nerve-racking. Every now and then someone will bring a boombox and we listen to rock or rap music (Disturbed, 3-6 mafia, etc.)
It helps me get pumped hearing "hardcore" rock or rap music. Is it ok to lift while there is that kind of music or can it be dangerous?

knot & vayne
I play a mix of Slipknot & Mudvayne on my mp3 player (gym's music can get irritating depending on what station). With maybe some Triple 6 thrown in......... nothing beats listing to somthing syaing "I'm bout to blow this guys azz off....." in a song while your lifting! Also think of the pleasure you get when you hit the corus of People=**** & Heretic song off Slipknots newer cd????

I have an MD with the control unit in the middle too, sometimes on an eliptical strider I catch it with the handle and tear it out of my ear. My original earphones broke so I bought new ones which meant a longer flex so I can put the control bit sticking out the top of my pocket - still catches occasionally.

--The proper plural form of the Latin adjective biceps is bicipites, a form not in general English use. Instead, biceps is used in both singular and plural (i.e., when referring to both arms). The form bicep [sic], although common even in professional contexts, is considered incorrect. (from Wikipedia)
