Yes, you will lose more water not fat and unless it's cold outside, not a good idea. Your body needs to regulate heat and that's what sweating is for.

It assissts weightloss, not fatloss. In other words, you'll lose water weight thru sweating, reduce your electrolytes, feel extreemly uncomfortable, and regain all the "extra weightloss" as soon as you have a good drink of water.

There were also studies done recently (don't know by whom, my dad was telling me about it) that muscle soreness is largely due to overheating- if your body is kept regulated at a WARM temperature (not too hot, not too cold), you won't get sore! Working out in a sweater will just cause water loss, perhaps resulting dehydration, and sore muscles. Not a good plan.

Hey Michelle,
I can't imagine that it works. Fat loss is a process done by dieting and excercise. Cheap tricks don't usually get anyone anywhere. You just have to do it normal. I keep telling my wife, but she insists it doesn't have to be such an intense workout.
Fat loss is about heart rate, nothing more. Get it up to the point where it is work, but if you feel winded and about to collapse, your heart rate is too high, and you are not burning fat, just carbs (which iswhy you feel like you are about to collapse).

Fat loss is about calories in vs. calories out. As most people have mentioned in the thread, any weight you lose would be from water loss.
