shanehammer- there's lots of different trap bar...unless you weigh 450 pounds, there's a good chance you can fit in one trapbar.
Everyone,
I'm a bit anal when it comes to terminology...it's called a deadlift, not a squat. Sure it uses less lower back, more quads than a deadlift, but it's still a deadlift. The term for it is : Trap Bar Deadlift, also known as Parallel-Grip Deadlift.
Never tried it, but heard a lot of good critique on that movement."Everything would have been geared for making my body able to withstand another small dose of iron on the bar for each exercise every week or two, even if it was just a few ounces. " -Stuart McRobert.

The bar in the picture is commonly called a Deadlift Hex Bar and was just discussed recently in this thread:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hreadid=240430
I just started doing Deadlifts and find that because I'm so tall its tough to clear my knee with a straight bar, while maintaining proper form. The hex bar is making it a lot easier to use strict form.Cutting - 6' 3" - 28 yrs
Jan 10th - 219 lbs (end of winter dirty bulk)
July 30th - 192lbs - Approx 9% bf
