Digable Plantets, Good stuff!
Anyone who was there when that came out probably thought that was the beginning of a legendary group. However they just disappeared before anyone really ever got to really embrace their style 
I actually always thought that they borrowed their style from both De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest and infused it with jazz and kind of a beatnik poetry flavor on top. Anyways here's another classic prior to them as mentioned above:
