3rd day into Keto, but got a question..

I started Monday, and its now Wednesday and so far my waist as already dropped a little, my strength is the same and I feel great! I think my body is just made for this diet! It feels really good to finally get my waist down after trying and trying and always getting stuck. I haven't had any 'side effects' such as brain fog, or anything like that.. do some people not have these side effects? I even feel more alert believe it or not. I have almost been a little worried because I thought it wasn't working, but for me to drop a little on the waist size must say something. Whats odd, I even upped my calories by 500 and I am at 2000 rather than 1500. Does that sound like its working for me? I thought about getting those ketosticks, or whatever they are called but i'm not too worried about checking if I am in ketosis so I thought I would ask.

    Thanks!

I'm currently on my 8th day and not feelin' too chipper. Feel pretty worn out and sleepy (dreading leg day after work today!), kind of like walking around in a daze, I guess.

In terms of calories, I also went higher in the 8 days I've been on Keto and ended up losing compared to my previous 40/40/20 diet that had lower calories.

thats interesting.. so if you have been in it for 8 days, you must have carbed up by now right? but, if you did leg day that might explain it, especially after work. I know I feel like that sometimes too, actually I worked legs last night and was pretty fried haha

i wanted to add, that this week I have been lifting heavy at 3 sets for 4-7 reps, so I should be depleted of glyocegen by now because the last carb meal I had was probably sunday afternoon.. I just hope its working already

I'm actually still in the first 2-week no-carb period so I won't be carbing up for several more days yet (but I'm counting down the days! )

2 weeks.. man thats a long time.. i'm doing a modified one, where I am eating carbs only for my first two meals on both saturday and sunday (my off days) and resume no carbs throughout the week, repeating it over again on the weekend. I'm not sure if its exactly a true "keto" diet, but i'll see how it goes. I use the musclenow.com program which I got for xmas a few years ago, I don't know if you ever heard of it but the guy who wrote it offers online support and he helped give me a high fat diet that he is currently using. maybe if you tried that you would feel a little better?
