Controlled Labs White Flood Review
"FLOOD your system for PEAK performance!"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"White Flood is a cutting edge preworkout formula that will rev you up for lifting and cardio like none other. Not only will you experience out of this world pumps, but tons of extra energy and true muscle building potential. That muscle building potential comes from the addition of compounds usually not seen in preworkout formulas of the past. We have also included potent anti-oxidants to scavenge any free radicals normally elicited by Nitric Oxide inducing ingredients. It's time to FLOOD YOUR SYSTEM.... with the most advanced preworkout Nitric Oxide and Energy Enhancer available; White Flood!
Key Attributes:
Fast absorbing and fast acting
Synergy, strength and stamina
Endurance and extreme pumps
Nutrient delivery and recovery
Carb Free
Ephedra / Ephedrine Free
Stimulate neurons
Enhanced creatine utilization
Arginine and Ornithine have been shown to enhance the natural anabolic effects of weightlifting, and even promote greater strength gains within weeks!! In the White Flood formula, potent doses of Arginine and Ornithine are delivered bonded to an ester, enhancing the absorption and simultaneously prolonging the effects of both compounds. With this controlled delivery system, these compounds can pass through the digestive system intact and deliver incredible pumps and vasodilation.
GABA is an important neurotransmitter that has been used for years as an ergogenic aid. When combined with the stimulants in our exclusive formula, users report a very unique effect that must be experienced to believe, due to enhanced neuron firing in the brain. Users report focused, relaxed, energy without the jitters often associated with stimulant use. GABA has also been shown to boost post-workout growth hormone levels and enhance fat metabolism (more research is needed on the exact mechanism of action).
Anecdotal feedback from power-lifters and strength athletes indicates that Inosine, a precursor to adenosine, may improve training during peak intensity (improving explosiveness and power) by enhancing the regeneration of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and enhancing oxygen utilization. It may even benefit the endurance athlete allowing for easier release of oxygen from the blood cells to the tissues leading to performance enhancement. As a bonus, it may also act as a natural anti-inflammatory.
Glucuronolactone is a powerful naturally occurring compound that has been shown to increase focus and concentration, help fight fatigue, and improve mood while providing an instant energy boost. Combined with GABA and caffeine, you have the perfect combination to take your intense workouts to the next level.
Octacosanol is a 28 carbon long-chain saturated primary alcohol naturally occurring in sugarcane wax, spinach and wheat germ (the Octacosanol in White Flood is from sugarcane wax). Popeye must have been onto something because studies suggest that octacosanol has potent ergogenic properties including the sparing of muscle glycogen stores and increasing the oxidative capacity of muscles. As a bonus, it may help maintain optimal cholesterol levels.
Vanadyl Sulfate is a potent insulin-mimetic that promotes glycogen synthesis, helps maintain blood glucose levels, and may stimulate muscle anabolism by forcing more nutrients directly into the muscles.
Beta-Alanine helps to increase aerobic efficiency, enhance oxygen transport, and reduce lactic acid accumulation in the muscle tissue. Many users also experience a tingling sensation from this compound that revs them up for their workout.
Tyrosine works synergistically with caffeine and other ingredients to help boost your focus and stamina.
To put this formula over the top, we added potassium gluconate (which most closely resembles the potassium found naturally in fruit) and naturally occurring ergogenics like theobromine, evodiamine, and vinpocetine that increase blood circulation and nutrient delivery, enhance focus and oxygen flow, and improve athletic performance. We also included natural antioxidants to aid recovery and reduce oxidative (and other) damage to DNA.
It's time to FLOOD YOUR SYSTEM.... with the most advanced preworkout Nitric Oxide and Energy Enhancer available; White Flood!"

Review
I realize that I am 16 years old and the recommended age for taking White Flood. is 18 years of age. I, with my parents consent, chose to take this product. I understand that supplements are not an answer to getting big or getting strong, and that diet and a good program always come first. Supplements are not meant to be the key to my lifting, they are only to SUPPLEMENT my already good diet and workout program. Please no age comments, thanks.
Stats
Age - 16
Weight - 178lbs.
Height - 6'.5"
Flat BB Bench - 195x1 (2 weeks ago, probly around 200-205 now)
Parallel Squat - 300+ (not sure)
Power Clean - 210x1 (2 weeks ago after 4 sets, probly around 220 now)
Current Supplements
I am currently taking Controlled Labs Green MAGnitude, Cytosport Cytogainer, Dymatize Elite Whey Isolate, and NOW Adam multivitamin
Taste/Smell – 4/10 - Heh. Well. I had heard that this wasn’t the GREATEST tasting supplement on the market, but hey, I’m not buying for taste, I’m buying for function. Upon opening the tub (after shaking it for a few seconds to break up any possible clumps as advised by CL reps), I immediately smelled a gelatin like odor. I tried it out and it tasted how it smelled. It’s really not a big deal at all though, just don’t breathe through your nose or just chug it down quickly. Throw in a scoop of Green MAG and it’s pretty easy to get down. Moving on…
Mixability – 9/10 – Very good mixability. It dissolved quickly, and the only thing I noticed that was left was tiny little blue specks. Not sure what ingredient that was…anyone know?
Strength – 7.5/10 – I first took this product on a day when I was doing incline bench, deadlifts, and front squats. I got through the incline fine, and I did feel stronger than usual. I put up a PR of 175x4, which I have not done before. I unfortunately could not deadlift or squat due to hamstring soreness and a small injury. Friday I decided to have a quick arm workout since I couldn’t do any lower body. No strength gains for curls/skullcrushers. Today was the first day that I used FLOOD. and completed my workout – flat bb bench, squats to parallel, and power cleans.
Flat bench – final two sets were 180x5, which was a PR
Squats – I have not worked my lower body in 2 ? weeks, so I know I would be much weaker and would have some trouble. Surprisingly I had a lot less trouble that I thought, and got 265x5 on my final set (not GREAT, but much better than expected for the 2 first time squatting in 2 ? weeks.)
Cleans (into deep front squat) – Felt pretty good with these as well. Final set got 195x3 and decided to end it there since my legs were hurting from running a little before lifting (track, only half a mile since I’m a thrower) and from the Olympic squats. Clean max is 210, I will retest in a couple of weeks while on FLOOD.
Pumps – 9.5/10 - GREAT pumps! On the Friday I hit my arms, they were feeling and looking huge (huge for me at least ). They were very pumped up and were really solid even when relaxed. Felt great. Today I had an amazing pump in my chest after flat bb bench, which I’ve never felt before to that extent. I also felt a pretty good pump after the squats in my quads, and also a very nice pump in my forearms after doing the cleans (I love compound lifts )
Vascularity – 9/10 – My forearm veins were bulging out a lot after those cleans, and after my workout today I had very prominent veins running from each front delt down my bicep and into my forearm/hand. I LOVE those veins!
Recovery – 8/10 – Recovery time between sets was a lot shorter than usual. Took about 90-120 second rests between sets on bench and I felt no strength was sacrificed. I took a little longer on squats since I had not hit my legs in a while.
Focus – 8.5/10 – Sometimes I feel lethargic during my workout, and I sometimes space out staring at things and am pretty tired. This definitely doesn’t happen with FLOOD.. If I do end up kind of spacing out, it is because thoughts of me destroying the weight are running through my head and I’m getting really focused and mentally prepared for the set. I got really pumped up (mentally) before each set and I really think that helped me get the weight up.
Price – 9/10 – Not bad of a price, got it for $34 which is pretty cool. NO Xplode and other arginine/NO products are pretty expensive depending on where you look, and I was glad to see that everywhere I looked FLOOD. was around the same low price. Unfortunately I have to take 1.5-2 scoops (about a serving) to feel the effects well. As I stated earlier, I’m not very susceptible to stimulants, and barely felt NO Xplode and Trac Extreme NO, so the product won’t last me as long as some people who only need 1 scoop. Overall great price.
Overall – 9/10 – I had seen this products hyped up a lot on the forums, and being a big Controlled Labs fan I was really hoping it would live up to it’s name so far. The only thing I’m slightly disappointed with is that I have to take the whole 2 scoops (1 serving), but hey it is a serving so whatever. If you choose this product, make sure to STAY HYDRATED and drink tons of water all day including during your workout. I was advised to do this by CL reps and I found that it does help (e.g. todays workout when I drank a lot of water during was much better than last weeks when I did not). I feel that it’s really starting to give me the mental edge in the gym that I need to keep pushing myself to attain my goals both strength and size wise. Controlled Labs has done it again. Great job guys
Note* I will continue to post updates while on WF for the next couple of months.

great review
it tastes like vodka lemonade...not something that I want to taste before lifting thou. Try mixing more water into it, or try adding a Gatorade Propel mix into ur drink.
New comment, but my lifting buddy actually does add vodka into his whiteflood drinks and drinks them when we go out on the weekends!! He usually has a total of about 6 scoops all nite and he's drunk and wired all f'n nite long. Does anybody know if this is safe or just stupid?? thanks...sry finch 4 using ur thread!

well i'm back after about a week of taking it and it's getting much better. im still taking 1.75-2 scoops, which is still upsetting since i will run out faster . i had a crazy workout today
squat top set - 255x6 [usually easy for me but my legs were hurting a still sore from monday(i got REALLY sore from mondays squats...i guess its because i hadnt squatted in a good 2 weeks lol) and i i felt a little weak on them, although it was an intense set]
bench top set - 185x5 PR*
clean top set - 195x3 PR* (couldve done more but my legs were dying from the squats already and I decided to stop there, my clean max as of 3 weeks ago is 210)
then i continued to do dips (3x8), EZ bar curls [85x(3x8)] and tricep extentions [45x(2x8) then finished it off with some wrist curls
after this my arms were HUGE and i was feelin awesome. my arms seriously felt amazing i couldn't get over how awesome the pump felt. i also had a pump in my quads (not as strong) and my chest (pretty strong) as well. i looked great in the mirror as well after with my pumped up chest and arms.
best part other than the pump was my top set of bench, im slightly dissapointed with the squat and clean but my lower body wasnt feeling 100% so i think if i was it wouldve been a different story. great day
note - i drank a lot of water today. probly like 8-10 16l bottles over the course of the day, pre during and post workout. i think that helps a lot as well.
one weird thing i felt was a strange tingling in my face...im assuming it was the beta alanine...i didn't really like it it felt way too weird and it felt like i had held my breath for a long time then stopped...eh it stopped after about 10 minutes. i also felt a little nausous about 3/4 of the way done with my workout, but i think that was because i drank too much water in a short period of time.
comments /questions appreciated and welcome

Solid review, it is an awesome product! Lived up to my expectations and more, can't really say anything bad about it except the taste, and when mixed with wraath it's all good.

yup, also when we improved the anti-caking issues we improved the taste a bit too. (it will never taste great like mag or wraath, but it is a bit better)

Arginine blood flow stimulators ("nitric-oxide" or "NO2" supplements) have been shown to increase vasodilation, but only in unfed people receiving enormous doses through an IV.
? Oral arginine supplementation doesn't affect blood flow.
? A dose as low as 10 grams has been associated with gastric upset when consumed orally. This dose has no significant effect on glycogen storage, even if it didn't cause diarrhea.
? Time release arginine is supposed to lead to a "perpetual pump" effect. New studies have shown this not to be the case.
? NO2 was shown to have no effect compared to a placebo on body composition or muscle strength.
? It's not possible for us to consume high enough levels of arginine to effectively increase nitric oxide levels.
? Copycat NO2 products are no better than the original supplement. In fact, those that contain glycocyamine should be avoided because of potential health concerns.
? If you think these products work for you, then you'd better look into the placebo effect.
? Arginine might temporarily elevate growth hormone levels, but only if you're able to take unrealistic doses. There's little evidence to support that this short term increase in GH would do anything for your physique anyway.
? In one study, arginine aspartate was shown to increase prolactin by an average of 75%. Prolactin is associated with decreased Testosterone levels.
? Five grams of arginine consumed during resistance exercise was shown to decrease normal exercise-induced GH output.
? The positive benefits of oral arginine supplementation can only be achieved through doses higher than the human body can handle. And most (but not all) of this effect is mediated by insulin. So if you want to have blood flow increases equivalent to a huge IV arginine infusion, just manipulate insulin through other mean

show ONE source that shows ANY evidence that NO leads to an increase in LBM.
Show ONE source that shows oral dosages below 38 grams leads to vasodialation.
Explain how you overcome the FACT that the vast majority of NO / arginine is broken into ornithine, causing significant bioavailability issues.

What causes the stronger than usual pump (after ingesting NO) if it is not the increased blood flow to the muscles ?
I general I don`t like NO products because I feel that they make my workouts less effective because of the pump. I get less reps per set than without NO and I don`t think that is good thing even though the pumps are usually huge. I don`t think that pump is placebo effect.
And furthermore, what causes the extremely hard, almost painful erections
when using NO if it is not the increased blood flow ?

stevo, reported. leave my thread and stop flamebaiting...this is a review on a great product, not a NO debate. if you say it does not work, tell that to my muscles as they get pumped up when i lift...
thank you CL and pu12e, my quads are my best muscles imo. they could be stronger, however...

Reported for posting objective scientific research in the name of helping others know more about the products they are taking......well that's a first. I hope the mod in question gets as much of a laugh as I did. I have other articles that all say the same if you are interested....
Sorry, I'll go and leave you in your deluded ignorance.
PS - It's a good idea to actually KNOW what you are putting inside your body - usually an independent analysis is better than the info given by the sellers.
BTW - I get a pump too, it is from lifting weights in a gym

I gotta say I still think WF tastes better than Wraath. I'm still chasing a scoop of PW down with a few mouthfulls of water before my workouts.
That being said, this is a great review. It always seems easier to write a review on a product that works well, but you've really put in some awesome detail. Keep up the updates!
