Anybody else like Australian black licorice?
I'm not talking about black licorice "flavored" things like ****ty black jelly beans, candy, or fake licorice.
I'm talking about fresh, real Australian black licorice chunks or braids.
I was having a cigar with one of my friends awhile back, drinking some brandy, and he pulls out a bag of Australian licorice.
Been a fan ever since.
Some product along these lines:

I can't say I'm a fan of regular licorice but the fact that your friend thinks that type will go well with cigars and brandy intrigues me...

Yeah black licorice is a real favourite down here in Australia. The flavour really is unique and has a certain 'bite' to it. Nothing like the red licorice you guys have in the U.S.
Funny that you should have it with cigars and brandy though. It's not like a sophisticated candy or anything....

I love black licorice, but I was not aware of the Australian type. Is there something a lot different about the taste of the Aussie one as opposed to the stuff you can buy at Trader Joe's here in the states?

This b**** killah Rhino77 is tryin to survive off a pre-writes
If you spent more time on em maybe they'd be tight
Your rhymes are loose and thrown together like trash
And comeout s**tty like ya had the pen in your a**
I let the whole message board know I'm killin this b****
See if you can get it when my syllables hit
My rhymes strike minds and leave MC's quiet
And my nines strike quick and leave MC's dyin
Now how the f*** are you gonna finger my b****
Then on the next line say u wanna beat off my d***
This f***** needs to realize he just cant see me
Ya need to come out the closet like James McGreevey
You homo thug tryin to dis my reputation
But unlike you I live up to expectations
Tryin to put together bars, dog it's funny to see
You'll embarrass your clique and have em runnin to me
I got street cred, I'm a known coke shaver
F*** wit me I'll cut u smoother then Norelco Razors
I'm back and forth from jail you aint up for that journey
You wannabe thug ur dog is the district attorney
You hang with the cops, dissin thugs given up they stash
Like "Yeah they got drugs and I know where it's at"
Someone let em know, he just can't handle me
Wit his small time rhymes and homo fantasies
You know a lot about slow schools you aint exaggerate that
Your an expert because you didn't graduate yet
Little kid rapper yo I just can't stand it
Back up before I blow ya a** off the planet
Have you hittin spaceships like Galaxy Quest
You can't see this, battle Reality Death

usually the ones from trader joes are imported from australia (read the cover, it usually says from AUSTRALIA)....so there's no difference.

I've bought that Aussie licorice and like it. But I'm still a bigger fan of Jelly Belly licorice jelly beans.
I have to make a real effort to limit myself, otherwise I'd go through a pound bag in a sitting.

It actually went really well with the Brandy and Cigar. I don't know if he was intending it as a measure of sophistication, rather than he happened to have some on him and he busted it out. Either way, I became a fan!

I have had some of the Trader Joes kind, and it was def. very good. It had a unique flavor and a soft chew to it...Not some nasty ass waxy substance like typical American licorice vines.

Yah! My dad's a big fan of that stuff. It's soooooo much better than regular America licorice. The quality/ingredients/texture, everything is great (no homo/no fat kid)

I used to like it when I was younger but for some reason grew out of it. Don't really like the smell/taste now.

lol x2 wtf. didnt know australia was the only place that had black liquorice, i love it. When I was a kid my dad would take me to the butchers where they always had a bowl of black licorice straps you could have one for free.
theres also the red stuff but that just tastes like sweetened rubber.
