Different Set Rountine each time - Your Opinions?

I have been enjoying every post and transformation by some of the members here. It has been an inspiration to see how hard all of you work out. I hope to contribute and discuss some of the interesting facts with you in the coming future.
I have been working out with a personal trainer (close friend and business partner) for a year or so. I started getting serious early this year. Eating right and work out every day. So far so good. I have followed many routines from M&F magazine and my trainer but I found a good way to stimulate your muscle on a daily basis.
I stick with the core routines like bench press (flat, decline, incline), lat pull, rows and leg works but I always change my sets. For example: flat bench press for Monday will be 100lbs 1st set(10), 2nd set(8) and 3rd set(6) then on Wednesday will be 90lbs 1set(10), 2set(10) and 3set(10) then on Friday will be 100lb 1st set(8), 90 2nd set(10) and 80 3rd set(12). Does this make sense? I have been doing this for about 3 mo and I got great results on different muscle groups. What do you all think?
