How do you cook rice in bulk (and still taste ok)?
I'd like to start eating some brown rice every day, but I only want to cook it once a week. How can I do this efficiently??

Buy a ricemaker at the store. You can cook a lot of rice at once.
SW: 305 lbs (June 15th, 2003)
CW: 186.5 lbs (Aug 9th, 2004)
Initial GW: 205 lbs met Mar 29, 2004
2nd GW: 190 lbs met May 31, 2004
New GW: 185 lbs met June 28th, 2004

buy a rice cooker... cook X cups in the morning and just leave it on the warm fuction for the rest of the day, so u only have to cook rice once a day
If abs are made in the kitchen how come hardly any women have them?

itll only be good for a few days though. The longest is like 3 days maybe and it gets nasty. Just cook some in a rice maker right b4 bed. Believe me on this we eat alot of rice here.Originally posted by brake

pretty basic to cook rice
1 cup rice
2 cups water
mix in a pot, bring to boil, cover and simmer for 25-30mins
im cooking some right now!

I'll have to check out these "rice cookers". Think Walmart has something like that?
So you guys say that rice only stays good for a couple days? Then I suppose it gets mushy?

Steamer. I cook up about 6 cups of brown rice, separate it, put it into ziploc baggies and freeze. Plop in the microwave for about 2 minutes and it taste as good as when it was freshly steamed.

Rice cookers work well. I like to mix 1c rice with about 2-3c water. Also, mix in some beef bullion or something. It gives it some flavor. I normally make enough to last a week and the only think you have to do is keep adding water and keep it cool, or it turns into a brick of glue.
