Thumbs down Is my Knee messed?

    long story short

-was carrying a empty heavy pot
-didnt see a plastic lid on the ground
-slipped and feel very hard landing on my left knee while trying not to knock myself out with the pot
-i got up and it was just in pain, a temporarily pain.
-slept it off as if it was nothing
-next morning (now) my left knee is very stiff and when i press my calve towards my hamstring, there is this pain, not a blinding pain, but just pain.

do i have to worry? do i have to go see a doctor? or should i just leave it to heal.

i had my left knee lock up on my once in the past ( bones were colliding each other and wasnt align) and i couldnt bend my knee at all. it healed but im worried this could happen again.

    thoughts? opinions?
    thanks.

did you just land square on your knee? did it fold in at all? i would say wait it out few days and see if it progresses at all. it probably is just a deep bruise

I know when I tore ligaments in my knee, there was a couple of very loud pops, but when I hurt it, it caved in and backwards. It was verys stiff the next day and I couldn't move it. I think you should go get checked out just to be sure.

Get a doctor to check it out. A bruise on the knee can be a sign of something torn but it could also be just a bruise from your fall and nothing else. Hopefully it nothing but that but get it checked out.
