Sigh... don't worry about your arms looking "small" in comparison with the rest of your body; you're being paranoid/overreactive IMO. Just concentrate on building mass using the heavy compound lifts and when you get a lot of muscle, then you can worry about proportions.

    Just my 2 cents anyway.

hey beastinthegym Ive got some good advice for you. Ive been doin something similar. I also do "same" muscles i.e. chest/tris are push muscles and back/bis are pull muscles. but the only problem Ive seen is after working my chest my tris are really spent. Im seeing good results but I feel I could see better.

    soooo.....

    my old routine is this
    chest/tri
    back/bi
    leg/shoulder

for the next few weeks Im gonna try this
    chest/back
    leg/shoulder
    bi/tri

this way every muscle group is gonna get worked fresh so I can work them harder since their "opposites".

Plus since your lookin to add size on ur arms you have a minor arm day during chest and back and you get a MAJOR arm day on....arm day lol.

    hope that helped

Guys you are all overtraining. When you say that your arms are smaller in comparison does that also mean they are your weak muscle group. You need to identify which muscle group is your weakest and ensure they are targeted first. Also 60 minutes of cardio after each weight session suggests your body is in a catabolic state. You dont want to be doin this if you are trying to gain mass. As much as us enthusiasts wanna push ourselves more and more, the key is to train smart, that is, know how to progress.

If you dont when you hit a "shredding stage" you will be increasing your cardio beyond and hour which becomes a serious catabolic affect. If you want to stay lean while putting on mass, control your diet. You should only be doing light cardio while mass training for serious gains.

I changed the way i did this and noticed changes and continue to do so!
When it comes to benches & barbells nothing else matters... so keep pumping!!

lol my arms are the same and i call it the same..

to the op, stop worrying about arm size, they will come with time.

just do a balanced program and you can work specific weak points when you are big enough.

btw: if you can do 60 min cardio after, you are not lifting very hard!

Workout your chest and bis on one day then a few days later work back/tris. This way your arms get worked out twice a week (indirectly on one day and directly on another). Do high sets (3+) low reps (less than 6).
