say 3 to 4 rep range. I am asking because alot of people at my gym dont do deads, just me, and I always wonder how I measure up to guys my size or just others in general. last week I did 405 for 4 reps but I have only been doing deads for like 2 months. And yes, I am in love with them now.

i did 370 at my last powerlifting meet and only beat about 4 out of the 30 people there. I didnt beat anyone in my weight class, heck its the reason i didnt go to regionals. But what i am saying is you people doing this arent powerlifters are you? not to say its not great that you are able to do that much i just know at the meets there were people my size doing 500 and above

no I am not a powerlifter, but I also never train at weight I go to failure using. So...I did 405 the other day for 4 reps, and dint fail at attempting a fifth, I just stopped. I have only been deadlifting for a couple of months. A couple months ago I was just doing 135 for ten reps for 4 sets. Same with my squat, a few months ago I was doing 225 and couldnt walk the next day, now I am doing 405 for 8 reps. I am not saying any of this is good, because at my size its what I should be doing, but I am still fairly new to the game but owe all my success to real hard work, I eat all my protein, train 5 days a week, and train very intense. But all my success despite this has been relatively easy, meaning I get big and strong in a short amount of time, I am constantly doing both. I have good genetics for this, but I have to work at keeping too much body fat off. So I have my obstacles too. I am rambling.....

thats awesome i know alot of people dont workout deadlift unless they have to. i honestly have never worked out with dead lift i just hate it. the only time i have done it is at my meets. i seem to be like you in the since that i can get stronger fast and i can put on about 10 ppunds in 2 weeks if needed or lose 10 just as easy. But my problem is i am really cut but not as big as i would like to be. Its hard for me to really pack it on and keep it but oh well

T puller, what are you stats? age, weight, etc.
Lift28.....you too, those lifts are awesome, are you more of a powerlifter? I would like to train with a power lifter.

weigh 180-185
My bench and squat suck though. Bech max is 235 and Squat is 335.
