4ad/Boldione Stack Question
Posted on the supplement board but this may be a better location for an old guy...haha.
Will be starting a stack with this combination a week from Monday. I plan on using 900 to 1200 mg per day of Higher Power 4ad with 300 mg of Molecular Nutrition's Boldione (cycle projection is 8 weeks...maybe 12). The following is general information that you may or may not be interested in or even need (just adding it to give you some background and it will hopefully make it easier for the wise to give sound advice).
I am currently training extremely hard and heavy 4 days per week on a upper and lower body split. My current age is 41, height is 6'1" and bodyweight is 280. I have been training since I was 16...competed in both powerlifting (at 242) and arm wrestling on a state level during the early 80's. Also used a ton of "real" gear before it was a felony.
Current routine...as it has almost alway been...revolves around a 3x5 or 5x5 rep/set scheme with occasional days of volume training doing supersets and reps up to 20 and even 50's on "crazy" days. The vast majority of the time however, I stay lower reps and heavy weights...training to failure on most every exercise at least for 1 or 2 of the sets.
Current Monday/Friday upper body workout consists of the following; warm up sets are not mentioned.
Seated Rows on a Body Solid row bench. 400lb x 5 to 8 x 3 sets.
Flat Bench Press. 325 x 5 to 6 reps x 3 sets.
Upright Barbell Rows. 175 x 6 to 8 x 2 to 3 sets.
BB Shrugs. 315 to 405 x 8 to 12 x 2 to 3 sets.
Standing DB Presses. 75's x 8 to 12 reps x 2 to 3 sets.
Standing BB Curls. 145 to 165 x 6 x 2 to 3 sets.
Rev. Grip Benches. 225 to 250 x 6 to 12 reps x 2 to 3 sets.
or...I will do Dips to failure times 3 sets.
Grip Machine (simple design from weightlifters warehouse) 125lbs for 2 sets of 8 to 12 reps (using right hand and then left hand).
Wrist Roller. 2 1/4" roller with 100 lbs. mounted in my power rack. Up and down...both ways x 1-2 sets.
Current Wed/Sat. lower body workout consists of the following; warm up sets are not mentioned.
BB Squats. 425 to 475 x 5 to 8 reps x 3 to 5 sets.
SLDL. 225 to 275 x 8 to 12 reps x 3 to 5 sets.
Donkey Calf Raises. 3 x 20 with a 210 lb. training partner on board.
Seated Calf Raises. 3 sets to failure. Weight is hard to say as it is a BodySolid seated calf with leverage not factored in. Using 100 to 150 lbs. though.
On my Saturday leg day I will drop squats and SLDL and focus on Deadlifts, Leg Ext./Leg Curls and Seated Calf work.
Abs are hit twice a week as the mood strikes me. Train heavy and to positive failure on them as well.
I need to lose at least 30 to 40 pounds...but am not to terribly concerned about that at the moment. Size and strength are my priorities at present. My eating is typically high protein, high fat and low to moderate carbs. Supplements include a nice multiple vit/min and a whole bunch of whey protein.
Questions: Is the stack I am starting a decent one? Any changes that should be made? Dosages? Length of cycle? (I am planning on 8 to 12 weeks). Should I consider adding 1AD on top of the 4ad and Boldione? Should I take this stuff 7 days a week or just on workout days? I'm not too fond of the topical stuff as I am in a suit and tie during the day.
Sorry for the length of post...first time on this stuff. To be honest, I kinda miss the old cypionate/dianabol days...but those days are gone and my lifestyle has changed considerably (wife, children and a great business...felony charges simply don't fit in).
