I was jw if its ok to have a protein shake and then a cup of oatmeal for breakfast, bc I lift either at school at like 8:30 (and cant get a post shake untill after school) or ill workout after school and have an additional good pws.
I was told the mornin is next best option for drinking a shake, and its better then nothing right? Also, should i just mix the oatmeal inside the shake to save time and maybe even a bannana (if this even is a good quality breakfast)?
In all the shake would be about 1 1/2 cups of milk, 1 1/2 scoops of protein powder, and 1 cup of oatmeal:
fat 8g
carbs 70g
protein 60g

Why cant you take the post workout shake 2 school?
But, that is a good pre workout meal, maybe a bit less protein.
it's his breakfast, the time where your body needs food and especially protein since it hasn't eaten in a long while...
anyways, yeah take the protein powder to school in a shakerbottle and put water and drink it at school.
i also recommend you drink the protein shake before school too, since you need itWhatever you do, don't compare yourself to people, compare yourself to the mirror.

I go to school at 7, and then i wouldnt be done lifting till about 930. Wouldn't that be bad for the milk as well as the protein sitting there all that time (also i live in florida, its very warm out)?
It'd also be pretty tough to even pull that off everyday, having the short time i have between classes.

wow that sounds great, i could probably do that if i lift only after school, but that can be so time consuming sometimes ya know? on somedays i have to lift in school cause i wont be able to later in the day. u think itll be alright if i mix it up a little bit and workout in school somedays with no pws till after school and other days workout after school with a good pws?

I think 60g of protein is too much for a normal person to absorb at once, even at breakfast. Ideally, id say 30g pre and 30g post workout.

Its called casein protein slows absorption. Thats what the milk is for. That's why after you workout your pw shake should be mixed with water and not milk.
How much do you weigh spidey?Bulking.

I still think 60g is too much, I am assuming that he weighs about 140-150lbs.

I agree the milk and oatmeal would slow down the digestion sum but 60gs is too much....
Cut it down to like 30g's of protien.....then but 2 scopes of whey in a shaker take it with u to school do your workout and have the other 30g's of protien right after
at least thats what I would do
but oatmeal for breakfast is def a top choice
