i remember he had a ridicoulous placing at the 2002 mr olympia 15th place. and after that i havent heard any info on him. does anybody know whatever happened to this guy?

He had surgery recently, but, I saw him at the Arnold expo on Saturday at the M and F booth, and he looked big as hell.

Nasser el Sonbaty it’s a big inspiration to me, he is huge (for me the hugest guy in bodybuilding), and he is a pure intellect, is a source of knowledge in my study area History.

A perfect example of a shaping body with a shaping mind.

I don't know if he'll be competing anymore. I mean, last pics I saw of him...he seamed to be going down the same road as Kovacs...unlike Kovacs he has the brains to match the muscles though, so I think by now he's realized his body just can't take it anymore...

i last saw him at the 05 Mr.O expo and too a pic with him... he was huge... seemed like a nice guy, he could tell from my look that he know that i knew he was huge lol

I think Nasser was the first pro I ever saw pics of and he freaked me out big time. I didn't think it was possible for anyone to look like that.

Then I saw Ronnie Coleman...

Nasser in his prime was at least as big as Ronnie except in the waist. And this was like 10 years ago, when Ronnie was a twig compared to him. People have this idea that Ronnie is the biggest ever...he's just not. Even today there are guys bigger than him. And there have been genetic freaks in the past that were praticly Ronnie's size, that taking what Coleman takes today, they'd totaly dwarf him.

Yeah I didn't say Ronnie was bigger, he just looked crazier to me than Nasser. Nasser is HUGE but looks blocky to me compared to Ronnie's rounded bulging muscles all over the place. His back is just retarded.

and you know what coleman is taking how? what would he be taking that wasnt availible 10 years ago there is nothing. nasser may have weighed the same or close but that means nothing. you can pack all the mass you want on a crappy frame. nasser was good for a short period of time but he is not on the same planet as ronnie. most people know ronnie isnt the biggest ever but he has the best package to go along with his size.

10 years ago IGF-1 and insulin were beggining to gain popularity. Today they're mainstream among IFBB tops.

And I didn't say Nasser was better than Ronnie. I just said he was bigger.

i am pretty sure that people started to use insulin in the late 80's igf doesnt have huge mass building properties it contributes but insulin is the main anabolic.
you cant unequovically state something when you dont know what was in other guys cycles then.

how do you know that have you given him a physical examination ? if he is carrying alot of weight that isnt skeletal muscle so is every other bodybuilder he is doing nothing different than any of the other ones, nor is he the only one with stomach distention.

well taken the wrong way it could kill you ,it is not recommended for anyone who isnt expierenced. it sure as hell is not worth the risk ,you can also turn yourself into a diabetic from using it, serious stuff not to be taken lightly.

Nasser had one of the most amazing mesomorph/endomorph physiques I have ever seen. Yes, his waist was big, but his back and shoulders were so damn wide that it gave the illusion of a smaller waist. Nasser probably should have beaten Dorian in 1996, I thought he looked better and definitely bigger. However, Nasser began to use synthol in his shoulders to cover up overtraining and getting older. This is sad because he had some of the best delt that I have ever seen in a pro. Also, his legs were amazing with increadible size and conditioning. Nasser's synthol fiasco, which almost cost him his life with a serious infection and abscess of the rear delt pretty much cost him any remaining aesthetic value to his phsyique, which sucks ass. I wish there was some way he could make a comeback like Strydom. Maybe he needs 3 or 4 years to just let his body heal, with no drugs and minimal training, just enough to maintain a good amount of his muscle mass.
