Creatine is senseless while low carbing. No carbs = no glycogen = sensless

Use of Creatine - Anabolic Diet
"Intense exercise always causes significant reduction in ATP, a buildup of lactic acid, and increase in acidity of the body tissues. Although normally the body can handle the extra acidity, under the high stress of exercise, the buildup is too fast for the body to cope with. With the increasing acidity
comes decreased contractibility of the muscle fiber and premature muscle fatigue. There are two ways to approach fatigue in athletes. One way could come from increasing ATP in the tissues, either by administering ATP or increasing energy-rich compounds like creatine phosphate (for example by using creatine monohydrate) in the muscle."
So I give it yay too! Just no Koolaid ones

Might be psychological, but I feel my lifts are better when I take it. It's also supposed to help the body deal with lack of sleep so I've been giving it to my husband.

How do you take it on keto? Still before and after you work out?

Thanks. I've been thinking of adding a PWO shake. Cheaper meal all around for me. Not a dextrose fan though.
Think I'll do this starting tomorrow and see how it goes.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I have been taking creatine pills and since it takes awhile to build up in your system, I wasn't sure if I should stop taking them just to have to start all over again sometime later. Also, I was not sure how it affected fat loss, if at all.

Although the debate is still out there, CEE form of creatine does not cause water retention. Might want to give that a try. Read up on it first if you havent already before making the change.

I would definitely ditch the dextrose with creatine, after working out, and just go with the creatine alone. Insulin is high already after working out. I would also add L-Glutamine to the mix to. As a matter of fact, I believe that glutamine is more important than the creatine in this situation. I actually sip glutamine mixed with water will working out. I'm thinking about adding some BCAAs in my water while working too.
Anyone tried the CEE with NO stack yet. This stack may do wonders with keto-style diets. Keeping insulin under control while still driving nutrients into the muscles seems like it may have a place in the Keto-World

thats BS. it may not cause bloat but it has to cause water retention. thats one of the main benefits of taking creatine.
