how long does an insuline spike last?

I understand it depends on the person/diet/ect but is it short term like an hour or to or like all day?
    Nothing is ever easy

In addition to what you already stated, wouldn't the type of food/drink ingested make a difference. I.E., where on the GI it placed and at what rate it was converted by the body?

I'm interested also. But something tells me there are to many factors and everyone is different.

    I found this
Looks like you can model the insulin spike http://mvhs1.mbhs.edu/mvhsproj/glucose/glucosestu.pdf

I going to download the modelling software eval kit

    http://mvhs1.mbhs.edu/mvhsproj/glucose/glucose.html

when I have more time over the weekend.

    Should be interesting.
    Never quit!
