Question Oatmeal- Pre and Post Workout?

    So,
After all the convincing I am getting 50 grams of carbs through oatmeal post-workout with my protein shake.

    So,
How about pre-workout? Is it a good source of carbs. for before too?

    Thanks!
    Eric.

oatmeal is always a very good source of carbohydrates. but if you don't want to be choking down bowl after bowl, maybe preworkout you can do a bunch of fibrous vegetables, but not to many, don't want to poop your pants at the squat rack.
    Unaffiliated.

Yes, oatmeal or any low GI carb would be an excellent choice pre-wo.

    Thats pretty funny!
I used to have that problem(well almost), when I would drink my protein shake with milk before workout.
I would have gas during the whole workout.

    Now I mix with water.

    Wow!
That's more gung-ho than me Meathead.

Your stats are kinda ironic compared to mine. You are 6'1" and at 9% bodyfat looking to bulk to 214 pounds.

I am 6'3" 217 pounds and looking to cut to around 10-12% bodyfat and maybe 200-210 pounds. I am not sure where I stand right now, but I am guessing 15-17% bodyfat.
I cannot imagine weighing 170 pounds. Damn. That was my high school weight. Right now at 217 I feel pretty damn puny. But, those friggin' love handles have to come off!

Right now I am doing 50g of oatmeal with 23g of protein/water 1/2 hour prior and 50g of oatmeal 46g of protein/water post.

So, it looks as if I am pretty much on the right track.

    Eric.
