Here in my apartment, I have a Mossberg 500a with heatshield, shorty barrel and dual pistol grips. The ultimate home defender. I also have my gandpa's old S&W chief model revolver and a little Colt .380. At home, my dad is military+gun nut, so we have cases full. 2 AKs, 1 Colt preban AR15, a mini 14, and a **** load of other WW2 guns and various pistols, hunting rifles and shotguns. Also, there is my suped up .22, and my dads newest, a S&W .40. So yea, Im pro-gun.

It's my experience that the people who dislike guns have never been around them at all. I grew up shooting guns and hunting (NO KingCrush). My dad taught me how to safely handle a gun and to respect it at a very young age. I have started doing the same with my own kids. I use every opportunity that arises to teach my kids how to respect a gun.

I have to disagree. I have a Ruger 9MM. I haven't shot it in years, and I never take it out of the house.
There are people who have been around guns who dislike them as well. There have been so many stories of cops teaching gun safety classes who have shot themselves. There are many stories of people who have several guns and their kids get hold of them and accidentally shoot themselves, siblings, or friends.
One recent story where a child shot himself with his dads gun, and his dad was a cop. Cops should know gun safety better than most and unfortunate things still happen.
It seems like every other week there is a story where some kid brought his/her parent's gun to school for show and tell, or a kid accidentally shoots themselves, or someone gets drunk and shoots their spouse or friends over something stupid. I bet all of those people liked guns, but probably not so much now.
There is a story in the news today where a kid shot himself with his parents gun.

OLUMBUS, Ohio -- A 5-year-old boy accidentally shot himself in the chest with a handgun and was killed, police said.
Thaddeus Thomas died in surgery at Children's Hospital about two hours after he fired the gun Tuesday night, police said.
The boy was playing with the gun in an upstairs bedroom of the duplex where he lived with his parents, who were both home at the time of the shooting, police said in a news release.
It wasn't immediately clear how the boy obtained the gun.
Investigators were trying to determine who owned it and if anyone else was at the residence, police said."I came out here to enjoy nature, don't talk to me about the environment". - Denny Crane

I have an old 1911 Colt .45, a 10-gauge and a 12-gauge shotgun in the garage. All of them belonged to my grandfather and aren't in any condition to be fired.. the Colt is pretty badass, my grandad was a tail gunner in WW2 and his nickname ("Jack the Ripper") is carved on the holster. Really considering getting them fixed up this summer.
