I did all my training on my own.Always, from pushups with people standing on my back in basic,to training in the gym in tech school,to going to Golds at my home base. It's the jealousy factor I know,we always had the best of everything, food, dorms, girls.
Get over it,and get back to mopping that floor Dogface Grunt!LOL.

If it's like anything,it's like college.Yes,they don't ask much of you physically ever.I thought the obstacle course in basic was fun, started second to the last, finished second.Yes,you guys ARE right, there are alot of wimps there. The once a year run was a joke, guys would do it with cigs hangin out their mouth.LOL.

its cool.. they allways hooked me up with some cigs or a donut..lol

    Wink

Originally,I was going to go into the Marines. But the recruiter was SO stupid,I just couldn't do it.I started asking around all the older guys I knew, what branch they were in.
The most successful guys I new were in the USAF.All the guys who either owned a business,or were high up in the company were in the Air Force.Made sense to me.

Air Force is more like a corporation. The successfullness comes from college degrees and mos's and branches the officers went into. The good side on the AF is that they got it real nice, nicer than the navy. The downside is that they get little to no respect from the Army, Marine Corps, and even the Navy.

Seriously,we all play a part, never understood why the dividing amongst branches. Each brings something to the table, its all good.

I agree, its just some thing that gets joked arounnd in the military. even the army gets ragged on by marines. army=ain't ready for marines yet, usmc= uncle Sam's misguided children, Its all good thought, at least you served your country most people don't

I have respect for anyone in any branch who serves proudly

This is one that my father told me a while back. I like it because the end is kind of un expected. He was in 2nd Armored Division out of Fort Hood(my birthplace )

    Goes something like this:

Little yellow duck with a little yellow bill

    Sittin on my window sill

Lured him in with pieces of bread

Then I smashed his f*ckin head
