Today i wanted to try HIIT for the first time. I got to the gym and trained my Legs and Abs. When I finished my workout, I had My Postworkout shake. After that I did 15 minutes of HIIT. Is it okay to perform HIIT after weight training then having my post workout shake? Thanks in advance.

HIIT after Weight Training
If you want it bad enough, you'll find a way.

it's generally not a good idea to do any sort of cardio immediately after your workout, unless you are not concerned with muscle retention. Basically, your cortisol levels(hormone that aids in breaking down muscle tissue for energy) are near their peak at the end of your workout. also, your muscle glycogen will be fairly depleted, leaving you without much stored energy to do HIIT, so your body may need to turn to other sources to catobolize for energy (possibly muscle tissue).

i only do cardio post workout if it's low intensity (walk on treadmill at 3.0 or so)....HIIT after a workout is a bad idea for reasons stated above. If you choose to do HIIT, make sure you do it 30-45 minutes after a good meal. PeaceIf you want it bad enough, you'll find a way.
