    is egg or soy protein slow digesting?

    what i need is a slow digesting protein at night before bed...i cant eat cottage cheese ive tryed gaging it down its just not happening...casein protein is way over priced...something low to zero carbs is what im shooting for...any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Yes it a slow digeting protein. But cottage cheese should be good enough unless your not getting enough protein.

    egg whites are slow digesting as well, it's just a slow absorbtion rate with eggs, the fat doesn't have anything to do with it i don't think.

    Easy way to make cottage cheese taste nice is splenda, I used to hate the stuff, but just add 2 teaspoons of splenda and you're laughing.

    samething for cottage cheese, lowfat digests faster than whole.

    Soy isolate is a fast-digesting protein. Casein is slow, whey is fast, egg is MEDIUM. Milk is "sustained" as it contains both whey and casein, primarily casein though.

    cool thanks everyone...thinkin i might go with 1 cup fat free milk, 6 turkey slices and 1 tbsp of flax oil for my night meal...cals 290, protein 19, carbs 14, fat 17 - 27/20/54
