I worked downtown during the Summer and during 'gay pride' week I've notice that a large portion of gays are ripped.
What the hell? Does anyone know how gay people get so buff? (Please no jokes, this is a real question)

My guess is that they have much more motivatoin because they can look in the mirror and get off from what they see. Thus they have much more incentive to make themselves buff and good looking b/c they're much more narcissistic (they can check themselves out!).
Imagine if you looked in the mirror and saw Aria Giovanni... hell..Short black leather skirts, stomach tattoo, glitter panties, sexy belt...had to have you...

I'm necroing a necroed thread to weigh in.
Some gay men value masculinity as a sexually attractive trait, and one of the most direct shows of masculinity is physical strength and fitness. Which explains a propensity to weight lift, along with potential insecurity from being ostracized.
Toned bodies appear as another sexually attractive trait, from the human attraction to well-groomed partners. So it's not enough to be strogphat, but also well-looking.
