    How Much Protein should one consume at one sitting?

    I am spreading my protein intake over several small meals a day. But how much can one take in at one sitting and put it to use? 70grams?80g,100g? more?
    Hobbies: Breakin' skulls,weight lifting, pocket pool... oh yeah, long walks on the beach wit deep conversation.

    There are lots of opinions of this also, all I can tell you is what I do. I usually keep it around 30-40 g's per meal including pwo. From what I have been told, if you take in too much protein it is hard on your kidneys (not sure if this is true or not) but you just piss the excess out.

    There are varying opinions on how much protein can be absorbed at one time.

    It really depends on the person I say. 40 grams or so should be fine though.

    Tough question

    I still feel 1g per pound of total body weight is best. I am 240ish, so 40g per meal spread over 6 meals works out just right.

    This does change is AS are used.

    For a non weight trainer .6g is more than enough.

    Ive always clung to the 30-35 range... Im 240 as well and spread that over 7 meals... comes to about 34g/meal

    I stick to 50g as a max (first thin in am and last thing pm) and some protein every 3 hours
