_*RC's Journey to a fit body*_
In high school i was very athletic. I was on our schools power lifting team and was also a sprinter. I did well in both sports, i wasn't always the best but was always up there. I went to college and dropped both sports, in the pursuit of happiness. That being copious amounts of beer and pizza. After roughly 5 or so years of this it took its toll. I became rather over weight, my energy was not existent.
My main goal is to get me back to being in that kind of shape again. Very strong and muscular. In high school i didn't know about proper nutrition, but now i do. I have learned a lot since joining these forums. Hopefully it will continue to benefit me as i try to obtain my goals.

Pre workout NosBlast(similar to No-Xplode)
Post workout .5 cup oats and a Protein Shake
Meal 3 PB&J (natural PB) on whole wheat
Meal 4(lunch) Turkey Sandwich on Whole wheat w/ green beans
Meal 5 Tuna Salad
Meal 6(dinner) Chicken Breast w/ steamed broccoli, .5 cup of CC & .5 cut of brown rice
Protein shake before bed.
This is my current cutting diet and has around 2500 calories. My current goal is to lose about 17lbs over 8-12 weeks. I plan to contiue cutting though until i stall. Ultimatly i want to get down to around 9-10% body fat.

So yesterday didn't go to bad. I was able to get all my meals in and my workouts.
This mornings workout didn't go so well. My ab workouts were a little ruff. I am sure they will get better. My cardio and everything else went fine. So far so good.

Still doing good, this mornings workout when well. Substitued Fish for chicken on my dinner meal. This mornings workout went well. It was an easier day.

Went to apple bee's last night, think i still at pretty good. I had the sirloin and shrimp combo. It came with steamed veggies and garlic mashed. I only ate part of the mashed, maybe a 1/3 of it. Doing good on eating so far. Skipped my ab workout this morning, still sore from Tuesday.

yea, the only really bad thing about that meal was the mashed... good work on having the self control to only eat 1/2 of it...

Yeah it was tough, that stuffs good. Had a good workout this morning, still progressing on my weight lifting so that makes me happy. Tomorrow is going to be ruff for me, got tickets to a ball game. Just wont feel right without some hot dogs and beer, it just not american. But i think i can handle it, we will see.

So the weekend went alright, no beer at the game. Still had to have the dog. Today's workout was very nice, i was able to increase my 5 rep max, so i am losing weight and still increasing strength. I am hopeful of this continuing for another week or 2. I am still playing with the diet a bit, but not much. Mixing up my afternoon snacks with different things for variety. For example fruit, eggs, or nuts. And at dinner i change between chicken, fish, and sirloin.

Everything still going well. Workouts are going great. The ab workout yesterday went much better than last weeks. Doing alright with the diet.

Todays workout went very well. Still gaining strenght, while losing. Moday i will be doing my weight and bodyfat again. Hope to see some improvements. I can already see a difference in how i look.
On another note. I am having a difficult time with the diet. I can stick to it most days but i venture from it from time to time. Today i just didn't want the oats. So i went with eggs and toast. But i figure its ok, i cut out cardio on fridays because it is my big lifting day.
Anyway so after 2 weeks progress is pretty good for the most part. I am very happy with it.

You can't really eat the same things every day. Variety is good, as long as it is healthy. Keep up the good work.

i agree 100%... when was the last time you had a "refeed day"?
thoes are very important in order to trick you metabolism... it will keep the fat lost going at full speed

I have been trying to make Sundays my refeed day. Eat more and try to keep that food healthy. Omelets and stuff, maybe bbq a little.
I was a little shocked this morning when i weighted 195.5, that means i have lost 4.5lbs in 2 weeks. Its nice but a little more than i expected. It does appear i lost fat in some areas. I dont know how much i trust the calipers i bought though. They only require one spot and say i am 12.6% bodyfat. But i have some massive love handles, so i am measure those as well as the front of my stomach. Everywhere else is lean.
Strenght though is still going up, i again increased my 5 rpm. So thats nice!!!

Well everything is still going well. Almost i guess, i kind of hurt my back yesterday doing my dead lifts. But i am ok, i was still able to do most of my workout today. Still experimenting with some foods. I don't mess with my first 2 meals, but lunches and dinners change sometimes. I am still eating good for me food though.
My progress is beginning to show already, atleast i think so. I seem to be losing very little muscle and my strength is still continuing to go up. So far so good.

Weight this morning was 193.5, i have lost a little more than i expected. I think this is ok cause my lifts are still going up. But they are becoming more difficult, I dont think i will see much more progress.
I started cytolean. I was very excited about this product before i purchased it. Now i dont know, i took my first doses yesterday. It wasn't all i expected, i plan to give it a week before i give a real opinion though.

Well, i missed todays workout. I woke up very sore, my back and neck both hurt. It has been a little sore for a while now but it really hasn't been to bad until today. I am somewhat fine now. I will probably go ahead and do my workout when i get home.
I did get a comment today say i look like i have lost a bit of weight. Its a good thing i guess. I have so far not lost any muscle, or atleast no strength. I dont expect that much longer, but i dont have much more to go before i hit my goal.

Wow i went awhile without posting. Everything is going good. I am now down to 187. I am almost at my goal. However everything else is slipping. I am finding it hard to workout and my body is starting to be sore. I am going to give this diet one or 2 more weeks and then i am taking a week or 2 off. Then back to bulking.

Ok so I am back. After being away from working out and dieting i am back. i went up some, i am currently at 190. So my month off didn't hurt to much. My current goal is to drop another 10-15 lbs and then once winter hits i plan to bulk back up to 190 or so. We will see how this all works out.
