Well, we all know that the calorie is a unit of energy, sometimes stored as fat. Why would it matter whether we expend that extra "energy" by doing cardio or only by lifting. Could our bodies really tell the difference? I'm currenty involved in competative powerlifting, and I can tell you that by the end of my workouts, my shirt is soaking wet and my heartbeat is racing.
There really seems to be no reason lifters who dislike cardio should encorporate it in their fat-loss cycle if they follow a high-intensity training regimen.
What are your thoughts on this?
