Do you think pullups are better than heave bar rows for back development?

I like pullups, and I always do them first, but I just dont see how they are better for growing a wide back that heavy barbell rows. Plus, I can row 225 for 4 sets of 10, but I am lucky if I can rep out 6 or7 pullups for 4 sets. So maybe I feel this way because of this.

They work different parts of the back and are totally different movements. You can't really compare the two. They are both necessary.

    Which different area's.
Rows involve the rhomboids and traps much more and the erectors get stabilizing work, but the lat's (which are the biggest part of your upper back) get worked in both.

I think rows are better for OVERALL back developement, since the traps get worked more, but both are very good in developing the back.
It's not as hard as you think it is.
Educate yourself, but stop thinking too much...

If I could only have one, I would take barbell rows, but they are both great. I think that bb rows just hit more overall muscle.

You should do them both. They work different areas and give you a good overall back development. What would be the reason not to do both?
