bodysmith express
I've got a bodysmith express home gym that's been disassembled and sitting in storage for many years now... I'd like to put it together again, but I don't have the instructions for it. Maybe I won't need them, but I thought I'd ask if anybody out there might have the instructions, in case I wind up with a few extra screws or a lever that doesn't fit anywhere...

Looks to me that Bodysmith equipment was made by a company called Parabody, which may have been acquired at some point along the way by Life Fitness. I'm getting a 404 on Life Fitness' Parabody page, though.
Perhaps support at Life Fitness could steer you in the direction of a manual? What is the model number of your gym?

Thanks for the pointer! You must be better at googling than I am, I wasn't able to find any place to start. I'll try contacting these Life Fitness folks, and see if they have any information.
I don't see any model number, only the name "Bodysmith Xpress"

Hey sarge, if you wind up in a dead end I'd suggest going to your local library with as much info as you can get on your machine and talk to one of the researchers there. They know how to uncover things that have been lying under rocks for years, & if the instruction manual you're looking for is in any library in the world they can get a copy for you.

That photo of that smith system looks pretty sweet, I'd love to have that one!

Thanks for the help, guys... between the photo that Stahlhart found, a bit of memory of how it used to go, mechanical intuition, and trial and error, I got it back together!
Normally I work out at work, but it'll be nice to have the option to work out at home, and my SO will also use it.
Lionheart, jump on that craigslist posting!
Mike

On eBay, we found my grandpa an original user's manual to go with an circa 1890's tractor that he refurbished.
You might try looking there, your equipment is almost certainly newer than his tractor!

assembly instructions
Mike - I've got a parabody bodysmith xpress total gym and still have the multi page assembly instructions. If all else fails, let me know and I can copy & mail to you for whatever that costs me. It tells you where to order parts too, but if they've been bought out that may not be so helpful.

Hi Lisa,
I'm looking for assembly instructions for the Bodysmith Xpress. I found your last year's post to Mike Seargent on the web and wonder if you could help me with info. I need to disassemble it to repair the weights, (bricks). Thanks. My email address is donner2@aol.com

This will take you to the original assembly instructions for the system. They're pretty cryptic but at least you have somewhere to start. I went looking for original brochures but I couldn't find them.
If the link doesn't work, I'll try to figure out how I found them, again.
