How Much Water Weight Can You Lose In A Sauna?

Well, i've allways wondered this, sure it helps cleaning my pores, and definetly helps with those "High Sodium" days. i sit in the sauna usually for 10minutes post workout.

my gym's sauna is allways at 160 degrees. say i sit in there for my 10 minutes. how much water weight would i drop

i wouldn't think much, since i usually do'nt start sweating until 5 minutes after i get in there. and by the 10'th minute i've got a good sweat goin. but nothing to bad, usually i realize that when i'm in there for something like 20minutes, i'll be sweating perfusely.

    anyways, any ideas guys?

A 200lb man can lose 10 lbs in a day in water weight under normal condition. In a sauna, I've heard of people losing a lot more, but I wouldn't recommend it

why dont you weigh yourself before going in and after going in, then subtract them from each other and then you will find your answer

Josh Koschek (ufc) said on the "bubba the love sponge show" last year that pre weigh in for fights he goes in for one hour and drops 10 pounds. He says it's an even 10# every time he does this routine for cutting.

It depends on the temp, your body and how long you stay there.

there are so many variables to consider, but if you are asking for an estimate... i'd say 2.5 lbs...

Too many variables, but i'd venture to say roughly 5% of your entry bodyweight.
