    Question Working Out Obliques?

I have been working out my abs hardcore since I began training last May, and have come along way. But as much as I work them, I can't possibly see effective results in my obliques. I have been taking Hydroxycut Hardcore and have seen excellent results. I have also been doing hanging legs raises/twists (deemed the most effective ab workout). Some professionals have told me to do certain exercises, while others told me that the only way to tone the obliques is through dieting. Is there any intense workouts for my obliques that I might not know about?

You could throw some oblique crunches into your ab routine, I usually like to do a couple sets.

Russian twists are good but bf% plays a bigger role than doing exercises. I know some people who train abs once a week but have major six packs. It all comes down to bf% and nutrition while the exercises may help a little you can't spot reduce.

seriously id avoid heavy oblique workouts. they respond damn fast to them and youll end up getting your obliques big and blocky. it sounds like your going for the lean 'sex lines' look, the v-taper, thats not going to come from resistance training the obliques unless yours are painfully underdeveloped. Deadlifting will hit the obliques, mine are quite sore the day after doing that. Problem with directly working them is once they get big and blocky they tend to stay that way.

You can try side bends! Hold a plate in one hand and bend the opposite way. Pull with your obliques!

Best possible oblique excercise is where u get on a back extension frame and turn on ur side, too easy.
