What happens if you don't get enough fat into your diet?
I was just curious cuz so many people go lowfat and stop eating fried foods...what happens when I don't consume enough fat? Does my cut/metabolism slow down? Should I just eat some fried foods for fat if I don't have healthy fats around?
Bench Press: 225x5
ATG Squats: 205x8 (just started...I know it sucks but I can't increase it until my next bulk)
Going very low fat means you risk missing out on all the fat soluble vitamins like A, D, E and K, and the minerals which need fat for effective absorption, like calcium. On a very low fat diet, it's almost impossible to get all your daily vitamin and mineral requirements through diet alone, so you must supplement.
However, fried food is not the way to go. Oily fish, olive oil, nuts, steak, egg yolks, avocados, flaxseed, are the way to get your essential fats.
65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs = keto.
