    Pre workout after tattoo?

Hey, I'm new so sorry if this is the wrong section.

I got a new tattoo on my upper arm 3 days ago and was going to go the gym for the first time since. I was wondering if anyone knew whether it's safe to take pre-workout? Worried it might cause the tattoo to leak blood/ink or something. I'm currently taking Superpump max before my workouts.

    Thanks

I wouldnt workout until your ink has healed man. the reason being sweat etc will run into the scabbing and interfere with the healing process.... it will also seap ink... its your choice but thats talking from my experience

Have a dozen+ tattoos, never took time off from working out for it. Go ahead, just keep area covered and from touching dirty surfaces in the gym

Everyone is different, but I echo this one. Just finished my 3/4 sleeve and worked out through all of it except the shoulder. But that is because the artist set the ink in so deep it really beat the **** out of my shoulder and my ROM was trash.

Before the gym, clean it then put an A+D or something on it. This kinda creates a barrier then just clean again once you get home and try to avoid the tattoo making direct contact on anything. Anti-bacterial soap both times. I usually avoid petroleum based products on my tattoos outside of the first day I got it and when I play hockey or workout for the first couple days. Outside of that, just some regular Aveno to help it breath. Quickest healing tattoos I've had is when I only used Aveno.

    Good luck!
