Are chest and ab DOMS from chins/pull ups normal?

I get DOMS in my lats and bis which are the targets of these exercises, but I recently upped my volume doing 30 pull ups overall and 30 chins overall and got solid chest and ab DOMS. This development doesn't bother me, but I'm curious to hear if this has happened to others.

Yep, did so close grip chins, so that the bar ran over my head forward to back instead of conventional left to right, abs hurt nxt day-as it is a stabaliser, chest no, i wouldnt have thought ur chest would be encorperated at all, just do them slowly reduce momentum

You know whats funny too. My lats were sore after bench day. I have been lifting for 3 years now and this is the first time it happened.
