just got a job at bestbuy so in 30 days i will have the bestbuy employee discount.
to put it simply, i want a car sound system that bumps but to a certain point. at first i was gonna go all out and take full advantage of my discount but a friend of mine warned me about rattling and nails unscrewing n ****, regardless of padding my trunk, etc.
now basically all i want is the best system possible that WONT cause any crazy rattling, unscrewwing, etc.
if it makes a difference it will be in a 07 acura TL type S, oh and for the most part all i listen to is hiphop.
thanks bras

OP just get a 10 inch sub, it will pound plenty hard enough. I think they sell rockford fosgate punch series there? If so 10" and a ported box with a mono amp. Itll bump, itll bump
its not like best buy offers real quality stuff and you dont want that much bass so i think what i recomended is sufficeintCurrent stats:

Like always straight to the sub-woofers everyone goes. Having good audio isn't about lots of power going to the lows and that's it.
1. You need a nice aftermarket deck with at least 4v preamp or the amp/amps wont get needed power.
2. You need 4 aftermarket mid range speakers, your stock ones will not be good enough.
3. You should get a 4 channel amp to power the mids, an aftermarket deck only runs about 15 watts RMS per channel. Most decent mids will need at least 50 watts RMS each.
4. Then you get a 2 channel or mono block amp, and a subwoofer or two.
You need to make sure the Amplifier supply's enough watts RMS required for the sub-woofers. This is the most important thing of all. My friend was a noob with car audio and bought $200 subs that needed 500 watts RMS each. He was only powering them with 200 watts RMS each. Was weak as fuk and he is lucky he didnt blow the speakers. Most speakers are blown from UNDER POWERING them. I hooked my $50 JL subs that needed only 100watts RMS to his amp and they sounded twice as good and hit way fukkin harder.“The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. My setup is a 5 channel Focal 5.500
I prefer having two seprate amps but $600 for an amp that is clean as fuk and retails $1300, couldnt pass it up.
Then i have Image Dynamics on all my speakers, component's in front, 6x9's in back, and one 12 inch sub.
My deck is an Alpine
4v preamp, pretty basic
This system sounds amazing in my VW rabbit. Srsly.“The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.”

LOL I'm saying bro I bet your **** is proper. Music is my hobby and I also mix songs so I know. Damn near everything is in the middle. As that other guy said in most cases even 1 12" is too much. I understand wanting to have some nice thump, but you don't want bass to completely wash out everything else, which happens surprisingly easy. Unless you were to EQ that and roll off a pretty good bit of that bass, in which case having more than 1 12" would be almost purely for show. More than 1 12" is just unnecessary and costs more out of pocket too.

I used to be into car audo/spl competitions big time when I was younger. Here's my advice: do not buy anything at Best Buy. It's all overpriced ****, serious. Alpine and MTX are decent but you can find better stuff for the price.
Find a car audio forum, tell them your budget, and get what they recommend.
