I have heard that eating too much protein is bad for your liver and kidneys. Is there any scientific evidence on the matter? I weight 220 with not much muscle. I would like to get down to 190, but would also like to gain some muscle. How much protein should I be eating daily?
Well if you're gonna be working out like everyone else here I would say at least 1 gram per lb of bodyweight. Train each body part hard at least once a week and drink lots of water.
Aim for about 200g of protein/day. It has to be huge amounts of protein, to do any damage to your liver. Maybe lik 400g or even more. So you should be fine.
