Mostly right about the other stuff but you're way underestimating how much a GP can make - read here http://www.racgp.org.au/download/Doc...feesummary.pdf
The average GP consultation bulk billed is between 6-20 minutes and pays the GP $36.30 per consult - assume it's 4 patients per hour (and that's being quite low considering many GP's will be booked out with family visits/couples etc..) and other ways of increasing income (such as medication reviews, chronic disease management plans, minor procedure) you could say the average GP is grossing at LEAST $140/hr. To be honest if a practice is solely bulk billing and has a good patient roster one could even assume that the average patients per hour is 6 + extras added in could mean the GP is grossing $200hr+.
However that is grossing, most GP's will pay 25-35% of the gross to the practice...but still walk away with $150/hr. Similarly some places just don't bulk bill for the consult and will add a $20-40 co-payment on top meaning the GP would be getting about $75 per patient. At 4 patients per hour that is $300/hr (though I doubt many of these clinics are booked out that much).
Just my 2 cents

I dropped out of a (pretty good) pre-med program after one semester. I made the Dean's List too. #noBrag
The time commitment is completely insane. For every hour I was in class, it was about four hours outside of class. What that semester taught me was that I didn't have what it takes. You really have to live, breath, and dream human biology to make it. #srs

Kinda. You'll want to at least go to a middle of the road State school and completely slay there. Slay like your life depends on it. No farking around. If you can graduate with a 3.5 or higher, good medical schools will take you seriously.
However ...
At the end of the day, you'll learn this when you graduate from college and get your foot in the door working somewhere, about two years after graduating NO ONE GIVES A CHIT WHERE YOU WENT TO COLLEGE!
Think about it, do you ask your doctor where they went to college / med school?

OP hasn't met many med students, lol. They're useless pricks like every other student.
You need a certain character to want to do a doctor's work, but the degree it self isn't "hard" or necessarily challenging if you like that sort of thing, nomsayin? They're just regular ****wits who get pissed five nights per week and never go to lectures.Could have been a slayer.

in most countries getting into a med program requires a certain score on an IQ test. This differentiates it from most other programs like engineering and physics.

cause you hurt my feels with your hate on DDS and RPH.
btw, the DAT is a standardized test as well, and a 22 academic average translates to 99th percentile the year I took it.
also, about 15000 people apply for pharm school via pharmcas a year, not how many people take the pcat. For example, in canada, we need to take the pcat but we don't send info to pharmcas. also, a lot of people take the pcat, but don't apply due to chitty score.
and i scored in 97th+ percentile on 2 standardized tests.
i don't hate on doctors, there are good ones, and there are bad ones.

I'm intelligent enough to understand the material, but I'm pretty lazy when it comes to things like doing course work and revising. My Girlfriend for instance got much better exam results than me because she can spend hours reading and memorizing material, she's a very organised person, yet I'm much better at maths, English and science than her in the real world.

Depends. I don't have any interest in helping people though. Would only work privately.
Rather do an MSc in Petroleum Geology, and a PhD in reservoir fluids.[52 books in 52 weeks Crew]
