Weight belt. Cheap and fairly durable. But for me, I normally do dips at the end of my workouts, where bodyweight is enough

I'm up to BW + 30 for 3x8...and the DB in the ankles is fine except it scrapes me up sometimes. We don't have a weight belt at my gym, and I don't want to pop for something I use for 10 mins once a week.
Call me lazy, but until I'm unable to hold it in my legs, I'll be fine.Booo

You can use it for pullups/chins too. It's hard to get into position for pullups with a dumbell between your ankles.

I hold the dumbell in between my legs. I start by putting it right above the knees, and then I just cross my feet and bend my legs as far as I can up. I hold the 85 lb dumbells and they have never slipped. They are rubber hex ones though, so they might be easier to hold. Just a thought if you don't want to get a weight belt.

Go to a hard ware store and have them cut 5 feet of heavy pull grade chain. Buy two clasps rated at over 200 hundred pounds. Put a clasp at each end. Wrap the chain around your waist through a clasp so it's dangling. Then run it through the weight and back to original clasp. Uncomfortable, but unbreakable.
