Hamburgers (without bun) bad for cutting?

I just had a quick question. I'm in college now and every once in a while, the dining commons won't have any decent protein source during lunch. Now if I just had a hamburger, without condiments/dressing or a bun, would it be that bad? I mean essentially, its just beef thats not that lean anyway. Or is there something I'm missing out on? Let me know what you think.

Chances are, if the university is hooking up these "burgers," they are highly processed (full of sodium), plus the quality of the meat is sub-par, thus adding unwanted ingredients as well as high saturated fats and trans fatty acids. I'd personally ditch those burgers and look into tuna and other lean proteins

Why have some piece of crap burger patty when you can have a healthy cheeseburger?

Here's what I wrote in a thread I made about my cheeseburgers:

"I just got a George Forman grill and started using it to make cheeseburgers.

What I use is 93% lean ground beef (highest % available here), certified organic whole wheat buns, fat free kraft singles, and a little bit of reguler Heinz ketchup.

    One cheeseburger is 325 calories.

    calories/fat/sat fat/cholesterol/sodium/carbs/fiber/sugar/protein

    93% Lean Burger Patty (3.5 ounces) 140 7 3 70 70 0 0 0 20
Alvarado Street Sprouted Hamburger Buns (1 bun)
    140 1.5 0 0 290 28 3 4 7
    Kraft Fat Free Singles (1 slice) 30 0 0 5 270 2 0 0 5
    Heinz Tomato Ketchup (1 tbsp) 15 0 0 0 190 4 0 4 0"

The only difference is now I am using Jenny-O Turkey Burger patties instead of the ground beef (1 gram less saturated fat).

The source of carbs from the bun is great because it is totally organic (about 7 all natural ingredients) and is NOT from enriched whole wheat.

Nobody's saying that all burgers are bad man. I eat 95% ground sirloin burgers all the time..this is not the issue at hand. The guy wanted to know whether or not to eat the universities version of the the hamburger. But thanks for the info anyway.

I make my burgers from lean lamb actually. Tastes better, and it's pretty lean unlike frozen beef burgers.
